Kim Zolciak and Estranged Husband Kroy Biermann Set November Divorce Trial Date Amid Contentious Split and Financial Struggles

Kim Zolciak and her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, are slated to go to divorce trial later this year in November amid the pair’s ugly split and financial woes.

The TV personality, 46 – who cozied up to Chet Hanks in a teaser for MTV’s The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets – has been embroiled in a messy divorce with the former NFL linebacker, 38, after they initially filed last year in May.

In legal documents obtained by TMZ on Thursday, it was revealed that their divorce trial is scheduled for November 5-6 at Atlanta’s Fulton County Superior County.

However, in the meantime, Zolciak and Biermann have the opportunity to resolve their issues through mediation.

If a resolution cannot be worked out before September 25, then the estranged couple will proceed to the trail in November, the outlet reported.

Over one year earlier in May 2023, The Real Housewives Of Atlanta alum officially filed for divorce from Kroy after the two tied the knot in 2011.

The pair are also parents to Kroy ‘KJ’, 13, Kash, 11, and twins Kaia and Kane, 10. Upon saying ‘I do,’ Biermann also legally adopted Kim’s daughters Brielle, 27, and Ariana, 22, from her previous relationships.

At the time, the shock news of the separation came amid Kim and Kroy’s money issues, such as the two reportedly owing the IRS $1.1 million in unpaid taxes.

When she filed, Zolciak cited that their marriage was ‘irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation,’ per TMZ. That same month, Kroy also filed for divorce.

However, in July 2023, Kim notably called off her divorce from Kroy as the two attempted to repair their relationship.

The two stars were soon spotted reuniting during a church service for the first time since filing for divorce with their four youngest children.

However, their short-lived reconciliation did not last long when Kroy filed for divorce a second time in August of last year, and cited that the marriage was ‘irretrievably broken.’

His attorney, Marlys A. Bergstrom, informed TMZ at the time, ‘No, at this time, he is still moving forward with the divorce action.’

Amid their divorce battle, both Zolciak and Biermann have also been embroiled in mounting financial woes – such as unpaid credit cards.

Late last year in November, the former professional football player was sued by Chase Bank due to allegedly owing $13,071.88 in credit card debt.

The TV personality was also sued by Bank of America for not paying off $56,224.07 in credit card debt.

Last year, she was also sued by Saks/Capital One for $156,080 in unpaid credit card fees, while Target sued the star for an unpaid bill of $2,482.

Also late last year, police bodycam footage obtained by TMZ in December showed the estranged couple amidst an explosive argument that took place at their Atlanta mansion in November.

After one of their youngest children called 911, law enforcement arrived at the residence which showed Biermann labeling Kim as a ‘narcissist’ and alleged that she was ‘f***ing other men.’

Most recently in May of this year, Zolciak called 911 on Kroy and accused him of taking her phone and ‘screaming all day.’

The incident took place in April, per TMZ, with Kim claiming that he stole her cellphone and also locked himself away in the master bedroom.

The pair are also parents to Kroy 'KJ', 13, Kash, 11, and twins Kaia and Kane, 10. Upon saying 'I do,' Biermann also legally adopted Kim's daughters Brielle, 27, and Ariana, 22, from her previous relationships

‘This is absolutely absurd that I have to deal with this nonsense,’ she told law enforcement that had arrived to their Georgia mansion.

‘I deal with it every single day. Screaming all day. Yelling all day. Losing his mind all day. Taking my belongings. It’s just, enough is enough.’

However, due to a court order which kept the pair in separate parts of the home, she was not able to approach Biermann to retrieve her phone.

In May, a judge ruled in a new court order that the estranged pair will have separate schedules to use their shared bedroom closet inside the home.

She is able to have access Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM. While Kroy doesn’t have a set time of his own, he is not able to have access to the closet during Kim’s scheduled times, TMZ reported.

During the recent incident, he denied having her cellphone and also claimed he did know where the item was located.

‘I feel so violated. I have divorce stuff in there, I have so many things in there,’ Kim had said during the 911 call. ‘Going through my phone is insane. I have nothing to hide, but it’s just…there is no privacy.’

However, she informed the police that no physical altercation had occurred between the two during the argument.

In March, a source informed TMZ that the estranged couple ‘are at each other a lot, with their on-and-off fighting persisting.’

Amid their financial issues and ugly split, Kim and Kroy also listed their Atlanta mansion for $6 million last year in October. However, the price of the home has since been slashed to $4.5 million.

In a recent update on the pair’s Atlanta abode, it was revealed last month in June that the two managed to delay foreclosure on the mansion after reaching an agreement with the bank, per TMZ.

However, if the pair are not able to sell the $4.5 million house by August 26, then the bank will resume the foreclosure process.

Also last month, it was revealed that Zolciak is 'being considered for a new reality TV show' that could land her a $1 million payment

According to documents obtained by the outlet, Kim and Kroy will not be able to halt the foreclosure if they aren’t able to pay the bank back.

Also last month, it was revealed that Zolciak is ‘being considered for a new reality TV show’ that could land her a $1 million payment.

She could possibly appear on the Hulu series titled, Got To Get Out, and would star alongside fellow RHOA star, Cynthia Bailey, according to TMZ.

The show would consist of both famous stars and non-celebrities as they compete for a whopping $1 million in cash.
